Happy Belated Memorial Day to everyone - God Bless our Armed Forces.  A shout out to our soldiers, Rest In Peace Grandpa and Uncle Pots who served their country well, and thanks for Dad for his years of service as well.

We had a fun holiday, picnic and kickball in the park with friends and family and bbq ribs. 

I finished an album tonight - it's my Cute Kids Album.  I finally pulled together a title page for it:

Eat What You Want Day

May 11 is Eat What You Want Day.  I know some people who ate chocolate cake today just because.  At least the holiday fit the crime.  :-)

After a couple of weak months, my scrapping has picked back up.  I finished 11 layouts for the crop this past weekend which brings me to 17 in May.  My end goal is 47 in order to catch up with what I didn't finish in March and April.  I have plenty of digi kits I need to work with, plus I'm having a lot of fun playing with my paper stash, so I don't see this being too much of a problem.

Sun and More Sun

A popular internet posting prompt is to give the rain and sun (the worst and the best) of your day.  I respect that, but I am trying to be less negative so I only want to blog about the positive this week.

The Sun of my Monday: It was John's day off and we enjoyed dinner and a movie at home
The Sun of my Tuesday: I blasted some fat with an hour's worth of cardio at the gym, and felt fantastic for doing it
The Sun of my Wednesday: I picked up Trevor and Trinity, it was the first chance to see them in 10 days
The Sun of my Thursday: Telecommuting means not having to carry an armload of stuff down the stairs bright and early in the morning
The Sun of my Friday: It's Friday, what else do you want!

Things I am thankful for today:

• One wonderful husband
• Two minutes until my morning coffee is piping hot 
• Three pairs of Oakleys
• Four supportive parents and parents-in-law
• Five Frontierville missions I can complete tonight
• Six fun sisters, sister-in-law and brothers-in-law
• Seven days until we leave on our vacation
• Eight darling nieces and nephews
• Nine scrapbook layout ideas floating around in my head 
• Ten days to be spent in Nicaragua

Luck vs Blessings

Some would say they are lucky - lucky to have a wonderful family, healthy children, a good job, a piece of cake...  Some would say they are blessed.  Sometimes, I'll admit, I use the term lucky, but I always mean blessed.  I know I am truly blessed and I am thankful for these blessings. 

Nicole is blessed too - here she is with two of her blessings, her sons.  She'll be the center of their world for some time to come.  And I know she'll love every minute of it, even when it's hard and the diapers are poopy.  Here's Nicole with the boys:
